How Many Boxes of Tile Do I Need?

Tiles come by the box, not one by one. To get the number of boxes, take your tile count including waste and divide it by the pieces per box. Then round up, always – a box you've only half-used still counts as a whole box on the order.

How to convert tiles into boxes

  1. Determine the tile requirement incl. waste, in pieces.
  2. Read pieces per box from the label.
  3. Tiles ÷ pieces per box, round up to whole boxes.
Formula: Boxes = round up(tiles ÷ pieces per box)
Example: 74 tiles, 12 per box → 74 ÷ 12 = 6.2 → 7 boxes.
